Your introduction serves as a way for new and old group members to know who you are and what you do.
When members in the group click on your profile they will be taken to your activity and posting history in the group.
You'll want to make sure that your posting history includes a solid introduction because women are more likely to work with you and engage with your business as you become more active in the group.
A fantastic introduction includes the following:
- Name
- Selfie or Professional Headshot
- Profession/Title
- A little bit about you like hobbies, why you do what you do, family life, what your intention is here, and what area or city you live in.
An introduction post should NOT include any of the following:
- Sales
- Promotion
- Links
- Tags (other than specific people within the group you are referring to)
- A call to action related to business
- Multiple Pictures
If you want your introduction post to get the most engagement as possible, considering including these too:
- Include how you heard about this group and if it was a specific person, tag them.
- Make sure your picture is inviting (eye contact and smile)
- Share something personal you are working on that women in business can relate to
- Engage with the comments each time there is a new one
If an admin or moderator sent you a link to this page it could be for one of the following reasons:
- You have not yet made your introduction post yet. (Our rules state you'll make your introduction post within 24 hours of joining the group)
- It's been a really long time until we've seen an introduction from you. We recommend doing a new one 1 every six months or so.
- You need to edit your introduction post to be in alignment with our guidelines.
- You've been lurking in the group and it's time to participate or fill the admins in on why you want to stay in the group without participating.
We know it might sound weird that a FB for business requires you to make an introduction post but trust us when we say friendship and support are at the heart of our community.
While not everyone in the group will grow your business or be your client you'll find some amazing friends and supporters in this group.
We want you to grow your business but not at the expense of the safe place we've created. Follow the guidelines you've learned here and this group will be a massive asset to you.
Trust that when connection and support come first, business growth will happen more naturally and sustainably too.
Thank you!
