You can track and pay your affiliates for making sales inside of Member Pages. They will receive a tracking url they will give customers and whenever a purchase is made the credit will go to them.
To make all new users automatically become affiliate you can navigate to your Admin Dashboard and click on Settings.
Then click on Users and then set the box that says Affiliate User By Default to Yes and then click on Save.
All future users will now be made affiliates. If you would like to set an individual user as an affiliate only then refer to the instructions below.
To make a user an affiliate you can do the following:
1. Login to your admin dashboard and click on Users and then Search Users.
2. Find the user you want to make an affiliate and click the pencil icon to edit the user.
3. Click on the button Edit Customer Details.
4. Check thebox that says Is Affiliate ?
5. Enter a unique Affiliate Code for the user.
It is important that this field is unique as it is what identifies the affiliate. If you aren't sure what to put here you can just put a few random letters like jdu37. You can also use something like mike or flowers if one of those terms were relavent to the affiliate.
Note: If you would like the affiliate to be put underneath of another affiliate then you can select the parent affiliate also but this is not required. It is used for 2nd level tracking / commissions. Also if you check the box that says Allow user to see their 2nd level affiliates and details then the parent affiliate will see the details of those underneath of them. It is generally recommeneded to keep this off.
6. Scroll down a little and click the Save button.
The user will now have an Affiliates tab inside of their Member Dashboard where they can access their stats and affiliate links.
