How to Create an Upsell Path
After your user initially purchases an item you can give them an option to purchase another item.. and another, and another, etc...
Upsells are an amazing utility to increase your ROI. To create an upsell follow the instructions below:
1. After you've created your initial checkout navigate to the admin dashboard and then click Checkout and then Add Upsell Item.
2. Enter a Name and Description for your upsell.
These fields will not be visible to the user.
3. Select the Order Type.
Is this a single payment, a subscription, or is there no billing involved.
4. Enter the order amount in dollars / select the subscription and then add the challenge(s) you want to give them or select Do Not Add Any Challenges.
5. Create or add the tag you would like the user to get upon purchasing and then click Add Order Item.
Note it is not recommened to add more than 1 or maybe 2 upsells options just to keep the checkout as simple as possible.
6. For each upsell you add you will see something like the screenshot below appear. You will want to take note of the Upsell Tag is as you will copy that value and paste it into your button inside the content editor.

7. Make the the buttons inside your upsell contain the url from the tag itself. So it should look like something like this:
I
8. For the NO button the tag should simply look lik {{UpsellNo}}
9. Once you have edit the page and made sure the urls are correct you can save the page.
10. You can repeat steps 1-9 for as many upsell pages as you would like the user to go through and then continue to the next step.
11. Navigate to the admin dashboard and then click Checkout and then Add Upsell Path.
An upsell path will be where we select the checkout and apply all the upsells you created into that checkout. So if you added two upsells then they will see the first one and then see the second one also depending on the outcome of the first.
12. Enter a name and description for the upsell path. Then select the checkout item you want to apply this to.
13. For the user to see the upsell you select they will need to have matching tags.
Note: If you want everyone to see the upsell then select the tag they get when they purchase the item from the checkout page for the included tags.
Also Note: You can use the exclude tags option to skip an upsell if you know a user already has a product and display something else instead. Simply exclude the tag that they would get if they purchased the upsell.
14. Select the upsell item and then click Add Path.
15. Repeat steps 13-14 to add as many upsells as you need.
16. You can then sort the upsell items in the order you would like them to be displayed. Whenever a user clicks a button that contains the {{UpsellYes}} or {{UpsellNo}} buttons from the upsell it will process/skip the upsell and move on to the next page.
17. Click the button Save Upsell Path.
At this point your Upsell Path will be created and any users who purchase the checkout item you selected will be directed through the upsell path.
Note you can edit the upsell path at anytime.
